He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hartley Balser and Seddie Alice Crosby; and his siblings, Robert, John and Kay.
He is survived by: his brothers, Roger (Tessa) and Peter (Susan); his sister-in-law Frieda; and his wife Wendy Moore of Spryfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
