He was predeceased by: his siblings, Pte Ralph S. Peters, Ann M. Macumber, Alice R. Cook and Lila M. Sweeney; his siblings-in-law, Murray Macumber, Hugh Cook, Vernon Sweeney and Isabelle Peters (Landry); and his friend Keith Banks.

He is survived by: his siblings, Reg Peters of Wayland, Mass. and Leah Hirtle of Yarmouth; his wife Barbara J. 'Dolly' (Gidney); and his children, Judy K. (Gary Carty) of Gullivers Cove, Evelyn L. (Mike Cochran) of Lisbon, Ohio, Jean F. (Sean Brown) of Digby and Barry K. (Susan Feader) of Bridgewater. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.

In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Rossway Baptist Church or Greenland Bible Chapel.
