She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Francis Alfred Richard Pugh and Marjorie Florence Williams; her husband Carl Graham Dares; her brother Frank Pugh (Carole); her sons, Keith (Cathy) and Grant (Sandra); her grandchildren, Meaghan, Shaun (Steve) and Evan (Kathy); her great grandchildren, Bronwyn, Emily, Rowan, Chloe (Provost) and Carley; her sister-in-law Helen Garrett (Edmund); her nieces and nephews, Ted Garrett (Tami), Brian Pugh (Velarie), Michael Pugh (Nancy), Karen Cormier (Dan) and Debbie Baltzer (Mark); and her close friends, Marg Blake, Louise Sexton, Sherry Titus, Longmire and Byron Kerekanich.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation before cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Doris' name to the Windsor Elms Village, Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia chapter of the SPCA, or a charity of your choice.
