He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ross and Eva Ross; his parents-in-law, Malcolm and Cora Oickle; and his siblings-in-law, Malcolm Wayne Oickle and Ruthanne Oickle (Stewart).

He is survived by: his son Reid Ross (Deanna); his granddaughter Marissa Young (Jolan); his great grandchild Ava; his siblings, William Douglas Ross (Miriam) and Beverley Delaney (Donald); his siblings-in-law, Gary Oickle (Diane), Eugene Oickle, Jackie Oickle and Susan Bezanson (Andrew); and his pets, Max and Misty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
