She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth E. Gidney and Marjorie Nesbitt (Hersey); her husband Harvey W. Peters; and her siblings, Frances MacDonald, Marie Lightfoot, Muriel Thompson, Kenneth Gidney and Harold Thompson (Ba).

She is survived by: her children, Judy Carty (Gary), Gullivers Cove, Barry Peters (Susan Feader), Evelyn Cochran (Mike), Ohio and Jean Brown (Sean); her grandchildren, Lisa Burnie (Peter), Shelley Farstad (Jason), Brandon Carty (Valerie), Andrew Peters, Stephanie Myers (Tim), Makayla Cochran, Brendan Brown and Corey Brown; her great grandchildren, Justin Carty, Breagh Carty, Jarred Lowe, Faith Peters, Aiden Myers, Peyton Myers and Renley Wise; and her great great grandchildren, Scottie Hobson, Cohen Carty and Theo Lowe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
