She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Rice and Lena Rice (Goldsmith); her husband Lewis Starratt Gates; her sister Marjorie Freeman (Ellsworth); and her siblings-in-law, Tom and Irene Banks (Pete).

She is survived by: her son Robert (Terri); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Kelsey) and Nathan (Kristy) of Enfield; her son Murray (Jacqueline); her grandsons, Harrison and Owen of Hammonds Plains; her brother Harold Rice (Pauline) of Lake LaRose; and her nieces and nephews, Richard, Larry, Lynn, Sean, Greg, Jeff, Peter, Cathy, Janine, Suzanne and Lois.

Covid 19 restrictions will be followed.
