He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlee Buckler and Gladys Buckler (Potter); and his sister Geraldine Morine. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Blake (Wendy), Kathy Zekveld (Simon) and Kimberly Rogerson (David); his stepchildren, James Simpson (Catherine) of Bowmenville, ON, Roberta Kellachan, Barbara Young (Dave) and Sharon McKellvey; and his siblings, Kay Vroom, Digby and Victor. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Donations in Carels memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia, Alzheimer's Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetic Association or Charity of Choice.
