He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn; his daughter Juanita; his grandchildren, Liam and Curran; and his siblings, Richard (Ann) and Amelia (Merle).
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne; his daughters, Angela Chiasson Mikovitch (Jerry), Nichole Currie (Jody) and Michelle MacLean; his grandchildren, Tiffany Buchanan, Ella, Jude Fox, Gwen, Ada Currie, Eli and Avery Strang; his siblings, Liz Chiasson, Adele Larade (Michel), Diane Chiasson, Placide Chiasson (Carla) and Belinda; and his brother-in-law Jerry Barrett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
