He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Richard Hogan and Mary Shirley Israel (Dartmouth); his half-sister Patricia Lapointe (Dartmouth); and his parents-in-law, Patrick Joseph Mury and Mary Barbe Mury.

He is survived by: his spouse Maurice Mury; his godson Michael Lambert of Edmonton, AB; and his half-sisters, Kim Israel and Robyn Fleet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
