He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Klein and Mildred Klein (Steeves); his wife Mia; his brother-in-law Joseph Bowie; and his brother Donald Peter Klein.

He is survived by: his son Ron Jr. of Fredericton; his siblings, Marg Bowie of Moncton, NB, Kathy Morningstar (Rick) of Riverview, NB, Brenda Steen of Riverview, NB, Sue Harrison (Geordie) of Campbell River, BC, Jayme Klein (Marion) of Dartmouth, NS and Douglas Klein of Edmonton, AB; and his uncle Lawrence Steeves of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
