She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Briggs and Mabel Briggs (Shirley); her husband Douglas; her daughters, Deborah Bouchard and Elizabeth Dykeman; her sisters, Esther McMackin and Ann Chatterton; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Dykeman, Harold Dykeman, Daryl Dykeman (Ruby) and Ernest Chatterton.
She is survived by: her daughter Alaney Wight (Brenda Dixon); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Wight (Michele Baxter), Arron Wight (Michelle Kempton), Melanie Dunne, Taylor Bouchard (Kendra), Katherine Ogburn (Trevor Stephens) and Adrienne Dykeman-Hamilton (Richard); her great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Hayden, Blake, Kylie, Tynan, Katie, Abby, Reid, Dylan, Hali, Patrick and Cody; her siblings-in-law, Doris Kilfillen (Kenneth), Chester McMackin and Keith Dykeman (Lea); and also Kari. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn United Church (54 Woodlawn Rd, Dartmouth, NS B2W2S1). A reception will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made to Woodlawn United Church, Oceanview Residents Recreation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
