With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael MacKenzie (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael McKenzie and Dorothy McKenzie of Glace Bay, NS; and his in-laws, Ernest and Mary Sponagle of Glace Bay, NS.. He is survived by: his wife Jaevaius MacKenzie (Jae); his children, Brenda MacKenzie (Anthony Emin) of Waldeck, NS, Kathryn MacKenzie (Jaime Reiner) of Middle Sackville, NS and Michael MacKenzie (Jessica O'Dell) of Petawawa, ON.; his grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Chayse and Rayne; and his aunt Shirley Hutt of Tangier, NS.
Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to the Bide A While animal shelter where Mike and Jae always got their furrbabies, Parkinson's Society of Nova Scotia for further research into MSA, the Dartmouth General Hospital or a charity of your choice.
