With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard MacDonald of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. and Catherine (Campbell); his wife Josephine MacIsaac; his siblings, Gerard, Louis and Janet; his niece Michelle MacDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Judy MacDonald and Suzanne.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph MacDonald, Cecilia MacDonald-Keyworth (Barrie), Sherri MacDonald (Scott Langley), Catherine MacDonald and Susan MacDonald; his grandsons, Brendan Keyworth Kate (Jason Lushington), Stephen, Mitchell Keyworth and John David Everson; and his sisters, Catherine Clayton and Caroline Bird (Mike). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Dartmouth Funeral Home (29 Queen St, Dartmouth, NS B2Y1E9). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint John Xxiii Roman Catholic Church (35 Colby Dr, Dartmouth, NS B2V1N7). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
