He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Cote and Gisele Cote; his wife Doreen; his son Marty Kolt; and his sister Chrystiane.

He is survived by: his children, Susan (Barry) and Scott (Sharon); his grandsons, Brent (Maria) and Geoffrey; his great grandchildren, Lyla, Leah and Jacob; and his siblings, Nicole, Rejean of Quebec, Sylvain of Quebec, Pierre of Quebec and Yvan of Quebec.
