He was predeceased by: his parents, Iris Kingston and Paul Kingston; his wife Kathleen Joyce; his son John Paul Harvey; and his siblings, Tommy, Gerry and June.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Joyce (Donald) and Yvonne Zohar (James); his daughter-in-law Diane Kingston; his grandchildren, Patrick, Katie, Alisha, Hannah, Jessica, Jennifer (Dylan), Claire (Ryan) and Michael (Sarah); his great grandchildren, John Jacob, Carson, Daniel and Ethan; and his sister Diane Kemp (John).
