He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Roy and Marjorie Roy; his nephew Kevin Ellis; and his brothers-in-law, Norman Ellis, Bill Connolly and John Yogis.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Ellis (Keith), Darlene Connolly, Wanda Roy (Gillian), Darrell and Carla Roy (Anna); his nephew Lee Ellis; his nieces, Kelly and Kim Connolly; his great-nieces, Sophia and Sadie Whynot; and his great-nephew Justin Scott.
