He was predeceased by: his parents, Fulton Bayer Sr. and Lillian Bayer (Manuel); and his siblings, William Bayer (Bill), Marina Grayson, Joan Jaques, Patricia Marsh and Margaret Kiezer.

He is survived by: his wife Carol (Beaver); his brother Fulton Bayer (June); his children, Lee (Carolyn), Michael (Michelle), Victoria Brooks (Charles), Hassett and Graham Peter (Deanne); his grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Kathryn, Darren, Leanne (Dawson), Maggie, Branden and Renée; and his great grandchildren, Abby, Stella, Archie and Aiden.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
