Dianna Marleena Gottschall Obituary

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister Dianna on August 20, 2024 at the age of 64.

Dianna passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Martha's Regional Hospital.

She fought a long hard battle with cancer and did so with faith, humour and grace. As her time approached she willingly and happily surrendered her devoted soul to God.

Dianna was a humanitarian at heart and a lover of all animals especially her beloved cats, Gizmo, Maggie, Caspurr and Muchu.

Dianna is survived by her siblings Bill (Janet), of Antigonish, Kenny (Ann), of Lanark, Helen Deyoung (Louie), of Pomquet, Tim, of Dartmouth, sister-in-law Mary, of Whitehorse, special godchild Lisa, of New Glasgow and her trusted friend Marion, of Halifax.

Dianna was predeceased in 2021 by her loving husband Alfred Benoit, parents George and Hilda, twin brothers George and Gerry and quadruplets sisters, Mary, Ann, Margaret and Dorothy.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care Society or to Bide Awhile.

A graveside service will take place at St. Ninian's Cemetery in Antigonish. Details to be announced once available.
