He was predeceased by: his father John Basque; his sister Janice Basque; and his stepfather Tilmon LeBlanc. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Basque; his son Justin Basque; his mother Juliette Basque-LeBlanc; his brother Roland Basque (Cristina); his nephew Nicolas Basque; his niece Giselle Basque; and his stepsister Katherine McLeod. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cole Harbour Funeral Home & Crematorium (1234 Cole Harbour Rd, Cole Harbour, NS B2V1N2).
