Clarence William left this world on February 14, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Thornhill and Susan Thornhill; his son William Thornhill (Bill); his grandson Christopher O (Leary); and his sisters, Mary Fizzard, Nina Herridge and Marietta Walters.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon O'Leary (Patrick) and Kevin Thornhill (Gary Mason); his granddaughters, Andrea O'Leary, Amelia Thornhill and Stella Picard Thornhill; and his daughter-in-law Debbie Thornhill. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Dartmouth Memorial Gardens (767 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9).

“My uncle was a low key,kind and unassuming person who was compassionate to all. We became very close over the years and I held him in high regard. Born in Andersons Cove, NFLD, Clar worked in the fish plant at a very young age before joining the Army where he served for 23 years. Military pay was low at this time and Clar worked at different jobs after duty to support his family who he loved dearly.Upon retirement he managed the Anchor Inn in Grand Bank ,NFLD,before moving to NS.”
