He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sr. Johnson and Mayola Johnson (Smith); and his brothers, Garnet, Vernon and Thomas Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Johnson (Carvery); his children, Steven Jr. (Stephanie), Roderick, Kaitlin and Tara (Toronto); his grandchildren, Imarion, Jayden, Carson, Elijah, Caryss, Savannah and Brooklyn; his siblings, Donna Whynder, Deborah Diggs (Robert), Elizabeth Johnson (Cole Harbour) and Wayne (Gloria); and his godchildren, Tyrone Simmonds, Oliver Johnson II (OJ), Michael Fraser, Colin Carvery, Shakeel Johnson, Alanda Provo, Miranda Cain and Ashley Fraser.
