She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenard Byard and Norma Byard (Sheppard); her significant other Steve Stunell; and her siblings, Leonard Byard, Norma Jane Clyke and Percy Byard.
She is survived by: her daughter Tia Hathaway (Ernie); her grandchildren, Jesiah Hathaway (Kayla), Marcus and Mariah Byard; her great grandchildren, Dominic and Deklyn; and her siblings, Ingram "Butch" Byard (Marion), Belinda Bennicke (Tom), Kim Byard, Mary Byard and Freeman Byard (Cheryl). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews who were like her own children and cousins.
