He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Wilson (Cross) and Gurney Wilson; his parents-in-law, Geraldine Marie (Pettigrew) and Harry Skidmore; his brother-in-law Garnet Keith Skidmore (late Joan); and his nephew Shawn Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Carol (Skidmore); his children, Denise Robinson (Paul) and Glenn Wilson (Joan); his brothers, Rendell Wilson (Melanie) and Gordon Wilson (late Elaine); his grandchildren, Jenna Robinson, Jessie Wilson and Peter Wilson; his nephew Jim Skidmore (Adel Gilbert); and his nieces, Corinne Bakes (Peter) and Seretha Chahley (Scott).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada or Dartmouth General Hospital.
