It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melissa Rae (Sanford) Carter of Currys Corner, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Raymond and Rovine Frank (Boudreau); her cousins, Tara Lee Arenburg (States) and Justin Clark; and her pets, Sadie and Motley.
She is survived by: her parents, David Sanford and Yvonne Sanford (Frank); her siblings, Natasha Sanford and Ryan Sanford (Sarah); her nieces and nephews, Sawyer and Ayla; her grandparents, Grant and Eileen Sanford (Hood); her close friend Delana Keeping; her stepdaughter Kyra Keeping; her pet Ozzy; and her former husband Duncan Carter. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brooklyn Civic Centre (995 NS-215, Brooklyn, NS B0N2A0).
