It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Edgar Shearer of Currys Corner, Nova Scotia, born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Dykens and Minnie Shearer; his significant other Sandra Shearer (Swinamer); and his siblings, Joe, Cyril, Malcolm Dykens, Mary Miller, Lois McCulloch, Rita Barker, Doris Arsenault, Barb Pemberton and Evelyn Swinamer.
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Tina), Scott Shearer (Natalie) and Julie Shearer (Steve Giordani); his grandchildren, Dylan (Emily), Laura, Abi (Bailey), Ava, Will, Jack and Matt; and his great grandchildren, Sadie, Lucy and Tucker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
