He is survived by: his parents, James McGowan and Helena McGowan (Martin); his wife Diane (Comeau); his children, James McGowan, Bruce Simms, Steven Simms, Stacey Williams (Rupert) and Kelly Couto (Danny); his siblings, Molly Simms and Victor McGowan (Mary); and his half-brother James Weir. He is also survived by 4 granddaughters; 1 grandson; several nieces and nephews.
