Joanne Taylor wrote a sympathy message

“Mary-Ellen, Pat, & Teresa: What an important figure your mom was in my life! Her kindness, helpfulness, genuine interest in all the kids in the Mount Edward neighbourhood, knowledge, and friendliness helped make every visit to the Holmes' residence special. Her door was always open, and she just loved visitors! She always made those around her feel special and touched so many lives through her care for those children waiting to be adopted. She will certainly be missed. Sending hugs, Joanne”
