He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Leonard and Lillian Leonard (Watkins); and his brother David (Annette). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Leonard (Walker); his sons, Michael (Lisa), Stephen (Heather) and Jeffrey (Louise); his grandchildren, Haley (Christopher), Sara (Cody), Nick, Hannah (Anisa), Daniel, Joshua, Luke and Leah; and his siblings, Joy (Darrell) and Terry (Terri-Lynn).
