He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burton and Joyce Burton (VanTassel). He is survived by: his significant other Marg; his children, Peggy Doyle (Bob), Edmonton, Donnie Burton (Melissa) and Bedford; his grandson Macarius Burton; his uncle Rev. Albert VanTassel (Fran); his brothers-in-law, Don (Joanne), Fred (Bonnie) and Rob (Laura); and his close friends, Bob and Alice Rankine.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date due to Covid.
