He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Shea and Sarah Shea (Rudolph); his siblings, Roy, John, Newt, Robert, James, Alfred, Jean, Ellie and Minnie; and his brother-in-law Frank Salter.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Shea (Blandford); his children, Julie Charman (Mark), Troy Shea (Debbie) and Kym Oden; his grandchildren, Gregory Pitt, Elizabeth Charman, Madison Charman and Mackenzie Charman; his brother Ernest (Hazel); and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Hodder (Leslie), Shirley Manuel (Frank), Edna Salter, Georgia Shea and Everett Blandford (Patsy). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
