He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Cleophas (Serroul) of Sydney Mines; and his siblings, Mary Sparkes, Marion Godin, Russell and Roy Steffens.
He is survived by: his wife Roxanne; his children, Barry J (Mel), Jeff and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cody Steffens, Katie and Jamal Jinadu; and his siblings, Theresa Barrie (Dave), Dorothy Barrie (Mac), Isobel Ferguson (Junior) and Brian Steffens.
