He was predeceased by: his stepsons, William Gidney and John Gidney. He is survived by: his wife Edith (Gidney); his children, Dale (Barb) of Digby, Steve (Linda) of Mount Pleasant, Seldon (Dorothy) of Bridgewater, Roland (Gloria) of Doucetteville, Catherine Robicheau (Larry) of Conway and Twyla Doherty of Waterville; and his stepchildren, Richard Gidney of Eastern Passage, Greg Gidney (Sandy) of Lake Echo, Ralph Gidney (Barb) of Milton, Michael Gidney of Digby, Paul Gidney (Lola) of Culloden, Linda Gregory (Wendell) of Culloden, Pam Gidney of Kamloops, BC and Susan Gavel Richmond (Paul) of British Columbia. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
