He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Catharina and Maria Catharina; and his siblings, Corrie, Rina and Willem.

He is survived by: his wife Jozina (Verboon); his children, Jerry (Sonya), Dick (Nenita), Martin (Heather), Robert (Caroline), Michael (Tammy), Wayne (Candy) and Jozina (Diana); his sister Mieke Carree; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Sandy, Christa, Nick, Angela, Derek, Adam, Brittany, Mitch, Josh, Taylor, Luc, Maria, Katie, Chelsea, Madison, Ryan, Meghan, Alexander, Finn and Meika. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

A private funeral service was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM.
