He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Delaney and Ruth Delaney (Hoare). He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Fredericton), Tim (Hilden), Rick (Hilden) and Brent (Alton); his siblings, Gordon (Wynne), Alan and Karen Turner (Don); and his former wife Kathy Delaney. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
