He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Saunders and Glennie Saunders (Mahar); his brothers, Keith and Lloyd; and his brothers-in-law, Aubrey O'Toole, Ivan Coleman and Les Aker.

He is survived by: his wife Irene (Turner); his daughters, Darlene Eaton (Greg), Cambridge and Angela Walsh (Randy); his grandchildren, Justin Eaton (Kathleen Doherty-Eaton) and Hailey Walsh; his great grandchildren, Elliott and Austin; his sisters, Lila Best (Granville) and Beulah Gates (Meredith); and his sisters-in-law, Leitha O'Toole and Kitty Coleman-Aker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
