He is survived by: his mother Pia Betschart (Schuler); his wife Edith Betschart; his children, Susan, Doris (Meini), Leo Jr., Pascal and Dominik; his grandchildren, Celina, Julian, Melanie and Alexandra; and his siblings, Monika, Pia, Robert of Switzerland, Peter of Switzerland and Edwin of Switzerland.
