He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Steinacker and Charlotte "Lottie" Steinacker (Hallam); and his godchildren, Collette Larose, Wendy Downey and Charlotte Colley.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Steinacker (Sparks); his children, Gill A. Steinacker (Carla Sparks), Douglas E. Steinacker (Cynthia), Darlene Y. English (Larry) and Lori-Ann L. Steinacker; and his grandchildren, Peggy Jean, Carlos, Andrea, Erica, Beverly, Johnathan, Christopher, Ashley, Brandi, Brittany Ann English and Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
