He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ephraim and Margaret Newcombe (Burbidge) of Upper Dyke; his wife Patricia; his son Bruce; and his sister Ellison Hartling.
He is survived by: his children, Ian (Andrea) of Upper Dyke, Scott (Cynthia) of Cambridge and Lesley Bauer (Michael) of Wisconsin, USA; his close friend Sandra Bishop of Centerville; his brother Thornton (Connie) of Wolfville; and his grandchildren, Rachel (Ben Filipkowski), William, James, Katlyn, Leah and Kaylee.
