He was predeceased by: his parents, Teunis Pieter and Antje Schep (Uijterlinde); his sister Riekie; and his nephews, Ronnie, Loenen and Vecht.
He is survived by: his children, Lourens, Willem, Elaine (Nichols), Tjeerd, Reyer, IJsselstein and Freek; his former wife Annemarie Stigter; his granddaughter Laelia Marie; and his siblings, Aart (Elly), Benschop, Joke Karens (Jan), Loenen, Vecht, Hennie Della Manna (Fabrizio) and Rome.
Donations in memory may be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, or the Portal Youth Outreach Association, or Open Arms Kentville.
