He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dixon and Mabel Dixon (Rhynold); his siblings, Berkley, Frank and Elizabeth (Liz); and his half-brother Emmitt.

He is survived by: his significant other Cora Pollard; his daughters, Julie (Harold), Connie (Duncan), Port Felix and Jean; his siblings, Shipley (Sandra) and Alice; his stepdaughters, Tina (Doug), Tracy (Craig), N. S. and Tonya (John); his grandchildren, Chrissy, Keith, Coady, Benjamin, Robert, Jodi and Amanda; and his stepgrandchildren, Kailey, Jade, Sierra and Jessie. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews.
