She is survived by: her children, Angela (Kevin), Michelle (Gerry) of Canso, NS and Walter "Wally" of Antigonish, NS; and her sister Isabel Fitzpatrick of Wasaga Beach, ON..
Over the years, Jean gave back to the community by volunteering with community organizations such as the Historical Society, the Ladies Auxiliary of Eastern Memorial Hospital, Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
