Florence Mildred Bond Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Florence Mildred Bond of Canso, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Swaine and Mary Swaine (Spears) of Canso; her husband Edward; her daughter Margaret; and her siblings, Clarence, Doug, Jack, Ross, Evelyn, Margaret "Peg", Frances, Mabel, Julia and James.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Dartmouth (Imelda) of Canso, Donald (Julia) of Canso, Ronald (Colleen) of Canso and Helen David (Anthony) of Hazel Hill; her grandchildren, Natasha (Wes) of Eastern Passage, Tony (Courtney) of FoxIsland, Marie of Dartmouth, Kyle (Mindy) of Ontario, Robyn (Wayne) of Canso and Gerald (Amy) of Truro; her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Matthew, Grayson, Jordan, Jasper, Bianca and Emberly; her stepgrandchildren, James, Madison, Abby, Sophie and Josie; and her sisters, Elizabeth Foster Prince (Liddy) and Norma Dobson FoxIsland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

A very special thank you to the staff and nurses at "Canso Seaside Manor" who took such great care of Mom for the last three years. There are no words to express how grateful we are for all the love, and kindness you all gave to Mom during her time as a resident there, you all truly made it her home and especially so during this pandemic.

Memorial donations can be made to either The Star of the Sea building Fund or Canso Seaside Manor Recreation Fund.
