He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Maughan and Elsie Maughan (Veinot); his brother Gordon; his uncle Earl; and his nephew Glen.

He is survived by: his wife Monica (Rafuse); his daughter Erin (Ryan); his grandson Hunter; his daughter Kim; his granddaughters, Savanna and Emily; his great grandchild Jake; his son Shawn; his sisters, Gail (Laurie) and Anna (Jeff); his nieces and nephews, Rachel (Carl), Nicole (Darren), Cory, Tyler (Michelle) and Colby; and his great-nieces, Carly and Abigail.
