It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Jane Kurchina (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister-in-law Saville; her husband Emil; her parents, Stanley McGill and Vivian; her brother Saville; and her siblings-in-law, Mary and Rudy Migay.

She is survived by: her children, Paul (Erin), Susan (Mark), Michael (Kelly) and Todd; her grandchildren, Braeden, Tyler Kurchina, Kurtis, Taylor Stone, Matthew, Steven Kurchina, Kristen Lintack (Jake), Lydia, Adria and Deanna Kurchina; her great-uncle Harley Frank; her aunt Dara Best; her sister Diane Babcock; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie McGill, Helen Alaksa (John) and Kristine Renda (Joe). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
