He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gerald Mercer and Bessie Mercer (Cooper); and his brother Gerald (Dorothy Mercer). He is survived by: his siblings, Senator Terry Mercer (Ellen), Colleen MacDonald (Robert) and Paulette Clark (Robert); his children, Kim Mercer, Karen Mills (Mark), Krista Temple (Craig) and Scott (Jean); his grandchildren, James, Daniel, Jeffrey, Victoria, Bradley, Dawson and Christoper; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Jaxon, Jacob and Isabel; and his wife Dot.
