He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Swinemar and Thelma Swinemar. He is survived by: his significant other Cathyanne Swinemar (Demone); his children, Adam (Greg), Shane (Misha) and Satrina (Ira Stevens); and his grandchildren, William, Simon, Calvin, Rylee, Mitchell, Owen, Max, Noah and Grace.

Memorial donations can be made in Pookie's name to the Palliative Care Program at the Southshore Regional Hospital.
