Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John James (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, who passed away, on February 10, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitehouse and Maude Whitehouse (Strickland); and his siblings, Alphonse, Bernie and Catherine.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Whitehouse (Darroch); his children, Gary (Cheryl) of Ingramport, Gil of Bridgewater, Glenn (Monica) of Bell's Pt, Jocelyn Naugler (Kerry) of Conquerall Bank and Paul of Halifax; his grandchildren, Brandon Whitehouse (Nicole), Jordan Whitehouse, Jessica Barry (Michael), Laura Whitehouse (Steph Beaton), Logan Whitehouse (Gillian Peel), Darah Rivalin (Grant) and Benjamin Naugler; his great grandchildren, Greyson, Ronan Whitehouse, Alexys Driscoll-Whitehouse, Nicholas, Jack, Max Barry and Tommy Rivalin; and his sisters, Lois Carpenter of Halifax, Eunice MacNeil (Daniel) of Sydney River, Winnifred of St. Catharines, ON and Johanna Campbell of Sydney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia or Bonny Lea Farm of Chester.
