With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Jean McCarthy of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, born in Trenton, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 20, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bruce and Prudence Bruce (Jollymore); her husband Ronald; and her siblings, Helen, Marie and Butch.

She is survived by: her children, Steven and Angela; her granddaughter Sophia (Coady); her sister June Yamada (Bob); her niece Debbie; and her close friend Sandy Joudrey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Shore Palliative Care Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, or The Rose Fund.
