He was predeceased by: his son Craig. He is survived by: his wife Judy Copeland; his children, Lynn (Jamie Sagadore) of Campbell River, BC, Todd and Anne Cox (Nick); his siblings, Ronald (Joan) and Shirley Ann Sullivan (Donnie); his brother-in-law Bob Copeland (Chris) of Brighton, ON; and his grandchildren, Emily Schwartz of Victoria, BC, Meghan Schwartz of Kelowna, BC, Sophie Langille, Maria and Claire Cox. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Bridgewater Baptist Church, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
