With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Patrick Higney (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 28, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Joseph and Ruby Geraldine Higney (Naugle); his son Sean Patrick; and his sister Patricia. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Higney (Geddes); his children, Brad, Cathy (John Langille) and Jim O'Hagan; his siblings, Dave, Joe, John (Kelly Hislop), Karen (Tom Mercer) and May (Roy Negus); his grandsons, Julien Langille, Matthew Higney, Joseph Langille and Lucas Higney; and his great grandchildren, James Higney, Wesley Langille and Claire Higney.

Donations can be made in Gerry's name to the Veteran's Unit of Fisherman's Memorial Hospital, or to a chairty of choice.
